

Agnes Greer Chandler, 85, of Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Caldwell County, North Carolina, died June 15, 2018. She was born December 10, 1932, in Watauga County, North Carolina, to the late Joe H. Greer and Teeler Parsons Greer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Chandler, Jr.; two sisters, Betty Jean Cook and Thelma Omie Patrick; and a brother, Charles Talmadge Greer.
Mrs. Chandler worked many years as a pharmacy technician and later in fine jewelry sales. She was known for her care of elderly friends and neighbors, and she had a special love and attention for children. Survivors include two sons, Billy R. Chandler of Jacksonville, and Ricky A. Chandler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Davis and husband Stanley, of Caldwell County, North Carolina; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family thanks the wonderful staff of Sunrise Senior Living of Jacksonville and Community Hospice for their caring and compassion. You lifted many emotional burdens from our hearts and minds.
A private viewing will be held for the immediate family June 20th from 6:30 - 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm for a closed casket visitation on June 20th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home at 940 Cesery Blvd. A Graveside Service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery June 21st at 11:00 am.
