Alan Warren “Albee” Meyer, 65, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on September 18, 1960, in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Alan lived a life marked by hard work, strong convictions, and a deep love for his family.
A skilled arborist by trade, Alan built a respected career in the Cincinnati area through his business, A.W. Meyer Tree Professionals. Whether scaling great heights or shaping the landscape below, Alan approached each job with precision and pride.
Alan was known not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his vibrant personality. He is remembered fondly for his infectious smile and for his generosity that touched many lives. Alan’s abrasive opinions were as much a part of him as his laughter—always honest and unapologetically himself.
He found joy in simple pleasures and cherished time spent socializing at his favorite “office” in Milford, Ohio, with his “Breakfast Club,” a place where stories were shared freely and friendships ran deep.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Lysa; daughters Sierra and Cheyenne (Jordan); grandson Cooper; sister Melissa (Amy); and nephew Jeremiah. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Haunnah, and his parents, William and Joetta.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Vera Cruz Station, 1313 State Route 131, Milford, Ohio 45150.
