

Alesia Rene Brown was born on November 19, 1960, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 65. Alesia will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her, with deep respect for the life she lived and the love she gave so freely.
Alesia graduated from Samuel Wolfson High School in June of 1978.
Alesia was a witty, caring, loving, and no-nonsense woman whose presence was both steady and unforgettable. She played softball and was great at it, bringing the same determination and spirit to the field that she brought to her everyday life. Alesia also built a dedicated career as a Supervisor at Florida Blue for over 10 years and retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield after more than 25 years of service. Her work ethic and reliability were a source of pride to those who worked alongside her.
Above all, Alesia’s legacy is one of generosity and devotion to family. She would give to any family member in need, often offering more kindness than she received, and doing so without hesitation. Her giving nature, her steadfast love, and her willingness to show up for others will be remembered as defining parts of who she was.
Alesia is survived by her daughter, LeShae West; grandson, James Davis III; birth mother, Patsy Brown; sisters, Stephanie Brown (niece Jamila Thomas) and Poppy Elliott (niece Jaelyn Elliott and Quincy Elliott); brothers, Larry Paige (wife Norma Paige) and Anthony Tunnage; nephews, Yusuf, Samir, Jionni Paige; aunt, Norma McCary; and cousin, Myrtle Ahozie.
Alesia was raised by her mother, Daisy Smith and father, Lewis Smith. Alesia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Michelle Brown.
She will be honored with a Visitation at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, on March 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
