Alex J Mohnacsky

Alexander  J. Mohnacsky, 86, of Jacksonville, Fl. Passed away on January 3, 2013 at Baptist South Hospital.  Alex was born June 23, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Suzanna (Sidoryak) Mohnacsky.  He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army in Europe.             After his retirement from the US Poastal service , where he was a letter carrier, he moved from Eastlake Ohio to Florida.  Alex enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle, woodworking and home repair.             He is survived by three children, Dale Mohnacsky (Janeen) of Parker Co,  Gary Mohnacsky (Barbara) of Chardon, Oh, and Sue Dorn (William) of Chardon, OH,  his sister Eleanor Biles of Skytop, PA, four grandchildren,  Maureen, Sarah, Mitchell and Abby, and two Great grandchildren, Faye and Charlie.  Additional survivors include his sister-in-law Marcella Mohnacsky,  nieces Lisa Price (Marley) , Cindy McCoy (Brian),and nephews  Dr. Daniel Biles (Brook) and Robert Biles.             He was preceded in death by his sister Agnes Mohnacsky and brother Joseph W. Mohnacsky.             He will be interred Feb. 5th 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the columbarium of Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
