Alice Fay Gilbert

Alice Fay Gilbert, 83 of Jacksonville Florida who passed away

peacefully on February 10, 2026 surrounded with her family.

Alice Fay Gilbert born December 7, 1941 in Corbin, Kentucky.

She’s built her life around faith, family and service as a teacher’s

aid for 30 years where she worked as dedicated elementary

school teacher, shaping young minds with patience and kindness.

She believed every child deserved encouragement.

Above all, Alice Fay was the heart of her family. She was known

for her warm hugs, her cupcakes, watching kids, and her ability to

make anyone feels welcome. Her strength carried her loved ones

through difcult times. She loved cheering her grandchildren’s on at their school sports activities.

Alice Fay is survived by her loving husband Earl; her children: Rory

Gilbert , Keith Gilbert and Anthony Gilbert, who passed away

recently years ago; her grandchildren: Sarah, Chad, Michael, Patrick, Tara; and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Sylvia and James Alsip.

Alice Fay's love and kindness will live on in all who had the

blessing of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, located at 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32207.

The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 2:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, also located at 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32207, at 3:00 pm.
