ROALDSEN Alice Faye Davis Roaldsen The youngest daughter of Albert (Bertie) and Pearl Raulerson Davis passed away peacefully with her family at her side April 1, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Roaldsen and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Rowe, of Sanderson, Vicki (Brian) Poole of Glen St Mary and Kelli (Steve) Caldwell of Maxville. Seven grandchildren, Billy (Julie) Crockett, Jamie (Stacey) Rowe, of Sanderson, Ally (Anthony), Jessy and Sammy Poole of Glen St Mary and Lindsey and Patrick Caldwell of Maxville. Also, 4 great grandchildren, Will, Wyatt and Wesley Crockett and Kylie Rowe. Two brothers, Carlton (Margie) Davis and Preston (Miriam) Davis, one sister, Pearl Shumate and one sister in law, Shirley Davis all of Sanderson, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a life long member of Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church and served many years as Sunday School Secretary. She was Past Mother Advisor of Russell Assembly #111 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was very active in sports from her years playing basketball for her school, bowling on leagues throughout Jacksonville, to coaching her daughter in little league and most of all coaching and playing with her daughters and her beloved nieces on the church softball league. She was also an avid fan of the Gators, Braves, and Jaguars. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 5-9 at Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church. Services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 3pm with the Rev. Allen Crews officiating and Rev. Eddy Sanders assisting. Interment will follow service at Cedar Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Jeff Davis, Pete Davis, Mark Davis, Troy Haines, Stephen Shumate, and Gaylen Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are: Wayne Alford, Robert Haines, Clifton Haines, David Alford and Buddy Davis. Arrangements entrusted to: Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home Edgewood Chapel.
