Alice Stanley, 83, passed peacefully at Memorial Hospital on January 5, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. Alice was raised in Mandarin, the granddaughter of Walter Jones. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business Administration. Alice served for 25 years with Meals on Wheels, she was a lifelong member of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, a leader of the Women of St. Anne’s, and active member of the Mandarin Garden Club. She will be remembered for her big heart and volunteer work. Alice is survived by her husband of 60 years and the love of her life, Don; niece, Deborah Zimmerman; and numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Episcopal Church of Our Savior at 1:00pm with Father Joe Gibbes officiating. Interment will follow at Mandarin Cemetery. The family would like to invite guests back to the church for a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Episcopal Church of Our Saviour
