Alonzo Lee Wilson Jr.

On May 25, 2016 Lee transitioned from earthly labor to eternal bliss; this soldier has gone to his rest.

Lee was predeceased in death by his parents, Sister Vanessa Newkirk and Aunt, Virginia Burns.

His loving spirit and name will be carried forth by his children Alltheia Wilson-Hampton (Jeffrey), Kimberly Haywood, Adrian Peterson (Darlene), Alonzo Lee “Sweet Pea” Wilson, III (Natasha). Also, 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition, “Lee” is survived by sisters Jacquelyn Watson and Sharon Bennett; brothers Sylvester Johnson and Harry Lee Wilson. Also, Aunts Francis Haynes (Clyde), Lena Luckett and Mary Williams; Uncle David Burns. He is remembered by the mothers of his children, Shelia Clark and Gwendolyn Wilson Kearney. Additionally a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will miss him.

The memories of Lee’s life will have an everlasting impact on all of us who have had the privilege of knowing him.

There will not be a public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday June 4, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 Edgewood Ave. South, Jacksonville FL 32205. Inurnment will be held at a future date at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
