

ROBINSON---Amos Robinson, Jr. went into Sunset on May 5, 2017 at Lanier Terrace Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 88 years old. He and his family are from Savannah, Georgia and were relocated to Jacksonville, Florida by CSX Transportation and Railroad Company when their headquarters were established here in Jacksonville, Florida from Richmond, Virginia in the early 1960s. He was employed by CSX Transportation and Railroad for a total of 47 years with extremely excellent service. He leaves to mourn his Wife, Christine (Williams) Robinson of 64 years; Son, Michael Robinson; Daughter, Pamela (Michael) Johnson; Sister, Anne Lee Bland; Brother, James Robinson; and also prides of his joy are 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. There are also a host of other loving relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed. He was a loving and devoted Husband and Father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 4731 Norwood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Committal services with Military Honors by the U.S Army will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 at 2:00 p.m. (Lane #1). The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21st at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32208, however anyone may come by and pay their respects to Mr. Robinson from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
