Angela Beth Leiby, 41 of Saint Johns, FL passed peacefully on February 7, 2024 with her family by her side after a fierce battle with Glioblastoma. Angela was diagnosed in May of 2023 and took on every day with strength, courage, tenacity and a smile, many days giving those close to her strength and smiles too.
Angela was born on April 7, 1982 to Doris Hanna and Theodore Pelech in Orange Park, FL. After Angela graduated from Orange Park High School in 2000 she began to kick start her career, but not too far before she started what was truly most important to her – her family.
In 2005, Angela met the love of her life, Christian Leiby. Angela and Christian married in 2009 and had two children, Jonah (15) and Jace (11). As her family grew, so did Angela’s education and career. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2016 and was a valued and loved employee of Bacardi Bottling Corporation for 14 years, most recently as a Manufacturing Financial Analyst.
Angela was passionate about her work, but was also passionate about having a good time and enjoying each day to the fullest. Angela loved all things nature, days in the pool and nights by the firepit. She loved spending weekends at the ballfield cheering on her boys AND following the competition! She was a lover of music, dancing, family game nights and filling the hearts of those she loved.
Angela was predeceased by her grandparents Ron and Lottie Glidden.
Angela is survived by husband Christian Leiby, sons Jonah and Jace Leiby, parents Doris (Jerry) Hanna and Theodore (Sherry) Pelech, brothers Steve (Michelle) Pelech, Christopher (Ashley) Pelech, Ben (Jennifer) Pelech, Michael (Pamela) Hanna, many nieces and nephews, in-laws and many friends who love her so dearly.
Services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on February 17 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to V is for Victory, an organization supporting local families and individuals battling cancer at vforvictory.org/ or to the Glioblastoma Research Organization, an organization who provides funding for Glioblastoma research at www.gbmresearch.org.
