Ann M. Singleton

SINGLETON Ann M. Singleton passed away December 17, 2011. She was born on October 16, 1928, in Jacksonville, FL. Ann was a Registered Nurse who graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing. She was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield where she worked as a systems analyst. Ann is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jim Singleton; her daughter and son-in-law, Pat & Art Cumens; her niece, Cathi (Steve) Whitmarsh; her sister, Betty Thayer; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis M. Matthews; her sisters Mary Lester and Gladys Roney; her brothers, Tom and Bill Chappell; and her parents, Thomas & Gladys Chappell. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 12:30pm at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home Blanding Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Ann's memory to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
