

CERMACK...Anne McElwee Cermack, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Jacksonville, Florida on May 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Anne was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Thomas F Cermack who passed away on May 28, 2008. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anne and her family resided in Ridgewood, New Jersey for twenty years until relocating to Jacksonville, Florida in 1983.
The mother of nine children, sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Anne was a graduate of the Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she received her degree as a registered nurse in 1951. Anne specialized in elder care and practiced at the Ridgewood Nursing Home and Regents Park of Jacksonville, Florida.
Anne is survived by her sister Mary Ellen Meeley, four daughters: Barbara Lutke, Mary Grace Flagler, Patricia Shaughnessy, and Kathleen Cermack; four sons Thomas F Cermack Jr, Sam Cermack (Lisa), John Cermack, and Daniel Cermack (Kristine), sixteen cherished grandchildren, Meghan Cermack, Sean Lutke, Noelle Lutke, Daniel Cermack, Matthew Cermack, Samantha Cermack, Hannah Cermack, Ryan Flagler (Emily), Darby Flagler, Kelly Flagler, Jack Shaughnessy, Morgan Shaughnesy, Thomas Cermack, James Cermack, Ethan Cermack and Regan Cermack; and one precious great-grandchild Madison Frances Lutke, together with fifty nieces and nephews. Along with her husband Thomas, Anne was also predeceased by her son , James Edward Cermack, her sister Grace Brennan, and her brothers John Patrick McElwee, Daniel McElwee and Joseph McElwee.
Anne was blessed with a deep abiding Catholic faith, a warm smile, a compassionate nature and a selfless and generous heart. Anne was a credit to her profession, a role model for others, a tireless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and a true and generous friend.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday June 4, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday June 5, 2017 at 11 am at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church 3383 University Boulevard North Jacksonville, Florida . www.corey-kerlin.com.
