Annie Canto Nasrallah, 90, born to Earl and Pauline Canto on November 27, 1934, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. With a gracious and loving heart, she welcomed everyone who crossed her threshold with a place at her table where there was always an abundance of food, fun and laughter. She is survived by her children, Karen Virginia Nasrallah, Joseph “Joey” Henry Nasrallah (Ellen) and Mary Pauline Thornton (Patrick), grandchildren; Jessica Marie Nasrallah, Joseph “Jay” Anthony Nasrallah, Allison Kate Nasrallah, and Ann “Annie” Frances Thornton and, by her sisters, Frances Galifianakis (Manuel), Nellie Flynn (Charlie) and Paula Buzar (Jim), as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Anthony Nasrallah, her son, Raymond Anthony Nasrallah II, and her grandson, James “J.P.” Patrick Thornton III.
There will be a visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025, 6:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. All services will be conducted at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
The Nasrallah family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Deborah Stinson and the many caregivers for their compassionate and unrelenting care of our mother.
