Annie Lou Parker

PARKER - Annie Lou Morgan Parker age 91, "Lucy", went Home to be with her Savior on May 23, 2009. She was born in Naylor, GA and graduated from Waycross High School. She was active in her church her whole life, serving as Financial Secretary, WMU President, and Sunday School teacher. For over 70 years, she enjoyed teaching and working with children, teens, and adults at the churches she attended. She also played the piano for church starting as a child. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville since 1960 and was active in the Jacksonville China Painting Club. She was always willing to help anyone who needed help, no matter what the job or who the person was. She was happily married for 60 years to J. C. Parker who preceded her in death. She leaves behind a son: John Parker (Jean), a daughter: Kathy Weinert Livingston (Ray), 3 grandchildren: Joel Parker (Kathe), Dawn Parker Loftin (Stephen), Ronda Weinert Young (Jeremy), 6 great grandchildren, a brother Jimmy Morgan (Verna), and a sister Hilda Howard (Joe). She was preceded in death by her oldest brother Jake Morgan. There are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who also mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 27th in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
