Ardell Gladys Mapes

Ardell has been a resident of the Jacksonville area since 1955 coming from Dover, NH where she was raised.

Prior to retirement she was an Export Clerk with the Jacksonville Port Authority for many years.

She was predeceased by both of her husbands, Henry J. Carbonneau and Olin V. Mapes as well as her infant daughter Marlene Carbonneau.

She is survived by her son, Gerald R. Carbonneau (Susan) of Kennesaw, GA and her daughter, Arlene Driggers of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ardell lived a full life. She and Olin were spent years traveling throughout the country in their RV. She loved to garden and had a lush backyard filled with many plants and flowers. She was the family matriarch and loved deeply by all.

The family will receive friends on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a Celebration of her Life beginning at 11:00am at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207.

Inturnment will be at a later date at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
