

Arlene M. Karlin, a long time resident of Jacksonville, died the 13th day of November 2010 at River Garden Hebrew Home. She was born Arlene Prager on April 10th 1937, in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up on Coney Island Avenue, and moved to Jacksonville over 40 years ago. She retired from the City of Jacksonville, working as a Supervisor in City Hall. Arlene loved good food, enjoyed going to movies, and liked playing bingo with her friends. Her children, grandchildren, and her family brought her great joy. She had a kind and sweet personality. Everyone she met liked her, and she will be truly missed. She is survived by her sister Iris Prager, her four children, Wendy Renee, Debbie Salinas (Eddy), Eric Karlin (Andrea), and Melissa Moore (Michael). She also is survived by 5 grandchildren; Andrew, David, Lori, Kelly and Matthew. Arlene also has nieces, nephews and an extended family. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 15th in Etz Chaim Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, with Rabbi Yakov Fitch as officiant.
