Austin Elijah LaPaille, 29, passed away on February 27, 2012 after a 7 year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on March 4, 1982 and spent the majority of his life here. Austin worked as a self-employed handyman/carpenter. He enjoyed spending his leisure time camping, hiking, and canoeing as well as spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 4 years Rachel (Coover) and much loved 9-year old daughter Amber LaPaille, his mother Linda Heinz, his grandmother, Patricia Heinz Osorio and her husband, and four half-siblings: Maxx and Meranda Calderin, and James and Emily Thorpe. The family would like to thank the Hematology/Oncology team at Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville for their care and support as well as the team at McGraw Center/Community Hospice of NE Florida. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012 in the chapel at Oaklawn. HARDAGE-GIDDENS OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Blvd is serving the family.
