

Barbara, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was a loving and devoted mother to her 3 daughters, wife to her husband of 57 years, grandmother to her 5 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to her 7 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was a very skilled porcelain artist and immortalized in paint what she found beautiful in this world when she put her brush to a piece of china. Barbara was a founding member of the Brushettes of Jacksonville, a porcelain artist social club, and taught her skills in painting for multiple decades.
Barbara truly cherished the time she spent with family and friends and will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. While her time with us has come to an end, we know she has been greeted with love by family and friends awaiting her in heaven.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father and mother, William Eugene and Thelma Octavia Walker, her husband Marion Glenn “Sonny” Weaver, her brothers Billy, Carl “Boy,” and Robert Walker, her sisters Betty Tool (Joe), Carolyn Brookshire (Pete), and Dorothy Coombs (George), and her daughter-in-law Laura Barron.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Marion “Sunny” Barron (Aray), Sandra Weaver, and Barbara “Bobbi Ann” Hooper (William), grandchildren Aray Barron Jr., Rebecca Geoghagan (Ashton), Jesse Clark (Marci), William “Lee” Hooper, and Chris Hooper, great-grandchildren Devin and McKenna Geoghagan, Jaeden Moses, Amelia Hooper, Ben, Jon, and Jax Barron, and Noah and Jonah Hooper, and brother-in-law Richard “Pency” Weaver (Yvonne).
A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
