Benjamin L. Bowman 61, known as “Bud” to his family and friends passed away on April 13, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife Theresa Bowman, their three daughters Carol Lamm, Kim Branham, and Amy Miller, Sons in Law Mike Lamm and John Branham: his father Benjamin H. Bowman, his sisters Norma “Jeanne” Rossi and Sandy Parrish, and his grandchildren Zachary, Theresa, Kalel, Devon, Trey and Katie. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, and close friend Kenny Willis.
Bud loved to tell of his time working construction and the jokes he played on co-workers. One of my favorites is about sending new employees to look for “sky hooks” to help with roofing projects. Bud loved to help his family with home improvement projects, passing on his knowledge to his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. Family was important to him, and it showed in his willingness to help his loved ones as well as the weekly family dinners and game nights. There are many pictures of Bud sitting in his chair with a grandchild either in his lap or sitting on the arm of his chair, this has been the favorite seat of all his grandchildren at one time or another.
While he may be gone from this world, he is looking down on us and may have finally found a pair of “sky hooks”.
A private celebration of life for family and friends will be held to celebrate his life. He is gone but not forgotten as his family and friends will always fondly remember him.
