Betty went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14th. She was born on January 10th 1932 in Paterson, New Jersey. Married her high school sweetheart in Birmingham, Alabama in 1954. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Love and laughter were in plentiful supply to her family and friends, to whom she gave unmeasured devotion. In her roles as wife, mother, friend – she was always caring, always loving, always lovable. Betty loved freely, conversations were usually sprinkled with laughter and always with a joyful spirit. There was never anything shallow or superficial – especially in her devotion to God. She is survived by her husband, Kaye, and their children David (Karen), Alan (Jeanine) and Helen (Mike); and seven granddaughters, Roslyn Henderson, Kaye Stegink, Leigh Volpe, Allison Henderson, Katelyn Henderson, Erin Cox and Jessica Landkrohn. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Davis (Bill), and her niece Marie Turner (Jeff). A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, July 17th at 3 p.m. Please make donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
