Bobbie was born on March 13, 1933 in Liberty Hill, Tennessee to Paris Elbert Lay and Alice Eleanor Lay.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Kenneth Roddy on October 28, 2004 and her son Michael Kenneth Roddy on December 12, 1999.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Whitley of Dandridge, Tennessee, Barbara Bean of Jacksonville, Florida and Deborah Williams of Madison, Alabama; two sons, Steve Roddy of Madison, Alabama, and Robert Roddy of Lawrenceville, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
