Born January 12, 1950 in Orange Park Florida to O.D. and Betty Lingerfelt – deceased 2010, 2017. From an early age, Bruce’s larger than life personality and sense of humor were his trademarks, enjoyed by his family, friends and anyone who knew him.
Bruce knew the value of hard work and accountability through his first job as a paper boy on his bike. His dad was a mechanic which launched young Bruce into his interest in the building and design industry. Under the tutelage of several local industry leaders he quickly excelled his craft, founding his own company in 1986 Crisp-Lingerfelt. His work was his passion and the source of many accomplishments over the next forty years eventually leading him to the role of Senior Vice President of Dostie Homes where he was happily employed for over 20 years. His greatest professional achievements were mentoring others and building long lasting and loyal relationships within the home building community.
Bruce was a movie buff and could quote ANY line, enjoyed hunting, skiing, motorcycles and golf, as well as following his beloved Gator, Seminole and Jaguar teams. He is known to many by his Indian Princess call sign “Skyman”.
Bruce is survived by his daughters, Alison Maas (Wesley), Erin Corrales (Hugo); the mother of his children and friend for life, Debbie Lingerfelt. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Philip, Emerson, Nora, Ava, Maxwell and Olivia whom he loved dearly and enjoyed many special memories with. His elder brother Dave will miss those brotherly wisdom teachings, and shall remain grateful to his honor. We all love you Bruce, always forever.
A private celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on July 18, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory can be made to your favorite charitable cause.
