

Carol Bass Ring, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2020. She was born March 23, 1938 in Jacksonville, FL to George and Pearl Bass. She was a graduate of the University of Miami in mathematics and obtained her master’s degree from Jacksonville University in computer science. She married Joseph Ring in July of 1957. She worked for 32 years as a 9th grade geometry and algebra teacher. Carol truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; traveling with friends and family, sewing and crocheting, and spending time with loved ones. Carol had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her son, Robert Ring. Her grandchildren, Rebecca Fetterhoff and her husband David Fetterhoff, Rachel Ring, and Elijah Jonas and her two great-grandchildren, Andrew Ring-Fetterhoff and Savanah Fetterhoff. Family, friends and all of those whose life Carol touched are invited to Grace Lutheran Church, 12200 McCormick Road Jacksonville, FL 32225 at a date and time to be announced later (due to current conditions)for a celebration of her life.
