Carol was a dedicated teacher who believed strongly in the power of education to shape lives. Her commitment to her community led her to serve as president of the Montgomery County School Board, where she was known for her political insight, steady leadership, and ability to thoughtfully navigate complex issues. She approached challenges with intelligence, grace, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
She had an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love of travel, exploring the world with enthusiasm and wonder. Carol found joy in life’s beauty—whether through art, the theatre, or the symphony—and she had a special affection for animals, especially elephants, which always held a place in her heart.
Carol spent 30 years living in Maryland before settling in Jacksonville, Florida, where she made her home for the past three decades. Wherever she lived, she created a welcoming space filled with warmth, conversation, and laughter.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Joel Feinman (Judy); her son, Richard Wallace (Sarah); her grandchildren, Justin Wallace (Emily), Dayna Wallace (Max), Bradley Wallace, Wyatt Dickens, and Taylor Dickens; and her great-grandchildren, Malakai Dickens and Parker Wallace.
