Charles Eugene Lowe

January 30 th ,1938 St. Petersburg, Florida – February 20 th 2023, Orange Park, Florida

Charles Lowe was a wonderful husband to Judith McWherter Lowe and father to four children Kenneth Charles Lowe, Susan Eileen Lowe, Kimberly Ann Lowe and Charles E. Lowe.

He is survived by his beloved wife Judith Lowe, his daughter Kimberly Lowe, his grand-daughters Sarah Reynolds, Clara Lang, Lynsie Bailey, and Ayla Lowe, his great-grandchildren Abrie Rench, Alisha Lang,Tyler Bailey, and Tanner Bailey. Charles is preceded in death by three of his children Charles E. Lowe, Susan Eileen Lowe, and Kenneth Charles Lowe.

Charles was a dedicated soldier and served across the Asian and European Theatres. He closed his 20 plus years Army career at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and retired to his home state of Florida. He served three tours in the Vietnam War and for his service he was awarded many medals and citations. This included the Vietnam Service Medal, the Soldier's Medal, and three Bronze Stars.

While he was awfully proud of his military career, his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He enjoyed being a “Poppa” to his four granddaughters, two great-granddaughters and two great- grandsons. He was a supporter of programs that benefited children with special needs and always helped and supported his fellow neighbors. He loved saltwater fishing and traveling the Caribbean with his wife.

A graveside service for Charles will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
