Chuck was an honorable man who loved God, his family, and his country with selfless devotion, outstanding courage, and honor. He proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force and United Sates Navy.
Born into the family of God in 1971, he became a follower of Jesus Christ during a revival at North End Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va. Hyman Appleman preached the sermon and Chuck gave his heart to the Lord. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville for many years.
Chuck awaits the reunion with his wife, Martha, who loved him with all her heart for more than 50 years; his son, Mark; daughter, Beth; grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Bailey , and Harli; his brother John; and sisters Ann, Nita, Charlene "Chick", Jan and Sandra.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Chuck had a sense of humor and never failed to make you laugh.
One of Chuck's favorite quotes is, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” –Jim Elliot
