

Christina J Gregson, 25, of Jacksonville, FL died peacefully on Sunday, July 22nd 2012 after a courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. Christina has taught us all the meaning of courage and strength in the face of overwhelming adversity. Her remarkable faith, positive attitude, graceful and humble heart has changed our outlook on life and will remain with us forever.Christina had a passion for life that was not limited by her disability. Family and friends were central to her and no one was a stranger, she made everyone feel special. She also loved her dogs Mo, Dublin, O’Malley, and Joey. Christina loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trip to Ireland. She enjoyed shopping, Tiffany’s, shoes, swimming, horseback riding, cooking, old movies and Christmas. Christina had a special interest in genealogy and traced both sides of her family’s history. Christina was an alumnus of UNF. In addition to her job at Holy Family School she was a volunteer at Mayo clinic and the DOSA Camp. Christina was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the loving daughter of Danny & Kathy, and the adoring younger sister of Elizabeth (Lee) Gregson of Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her loving grandmother Joan O’Boyle and preceded in death by her grandfather Mike O’Boyle of Rockville, MD and her grandparents Dorothy and Fred of Brooklyn, NY. Christina was the wonderful niece of Raymond Gregson, Patty & Bob McGinn, Fred Gregson, Maureen & Steve Richter, Mike O’Boyle, Patty & Walt Hargis, John & Karen O’Boyle, Kevin O’Boyle, Tim O’Boyle, and Beth O’Boyle. She was also a special cousin to Tim (Danielle) McGinn, Scott (Karen) McGinn, Stephen, Katie, and Caroline Richter, Allison & Lauren O’Boyle, Erin & Kara Hargis, Brian (Kayla) O’Boyle, Colleen O’Boyle, Will & Charlie O’Boyle. Christina had treasured memories with family and friends especially those with Ilsa Martin of Baltimore, MD. On behalf of Christina’s family we would like to thank the staff of the Mayo Clinc, Nemours Clinic, and Johns Hopkins for their dedication and heart- warming care. We also offer our sincere gratitude to Holy Family Catholic School & Church, Bishop Kenny High School, and San Jose Catholic School for their continued love and support.Memorial viewing will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Rd on Wednesday, July 25th from 6-8 pm., with a Vigil services at 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment services to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in the loving memory of Christina can be made to Holy Family Catholic School or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
