Cindy Clark Rountree

ROUNTREE - Cindy Clark Rountree of Jacksonville, FL passed away on September 30, 2017. Cindy was born on June 15, 1940 in Blackshear, GA to Tracy and Bessie Clark. She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and was selected as the School Teen-Ager of the Year. Cindy retired from SunTrust Bank and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights. Survivors include her husband, George Edley Rountree of 57 years of marriage; two daughters, Cynthia (James) Harris and Lynda (Randy) Thompson; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Taylor Harris and Rachel Thompson; three brothers, Walter Clark, Wesley Clark and Forrest Clark. She is preceded in death by her sister Margie Arpen. Cindy’s hobbies included cooking, playing bridge, going to the movies, and watching college football, especially the Florida Gators. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charitable organization.
