Clare Walker Adelson died peacefully on January 29, 2017. She leaves behind five children, M.B. Adelson, Karen Strauss, Terry Jackson, Deborah Johns, and Duane Adelson. She had 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Clare grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of Elsie Coleman Walker and Simpson Robert Walker. She spent most of her life in Memphis with her husband of 61 years, M B Adelson III.
She was an avid outdoors woman, with her happiest times spent fishing with her dad on the St. Johns River. She was a loving wife and mother. Clare was accomplished in photography and needle arts. She was always one to celebrate the good times. In lieu of flowers please honor her memory with a contribution to a cause you support.
Graveside services will be held at Temple Cemetery on Friday, February 3, at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi Rick Shapiro, officiating.
