
Clyde J. Williams, 92, died peacefully in his sleep on November 3, 2017. He was a was also a retired painter and a member of the local Painter’s Union. He was one of the painters who first painted the Matthews Bridge.
Clyde was preceded in his death by his parents, Lillie & Jeff Williams, brothers, Albert and Mark, sisters Ruby, Beulah, Rosealee and Thelma also his loving wife Linda, sons, Kevin, Steve, Keith and daughters, Janie & Judy, grandsons, David and Lyle. He is survived by stepsons, Stuart Nelson (Mitzi) and Barry (Sharon), grandsons, Tyler (Tamera), Trevor (Amy), Michael John, granddaughters Linda Jo (Jason), Heather (Johnathan) and Erin (Elwin). 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors, on Saturday, November 11th at 12:00 noon at the Hardage Giddens Funeral Home on Edgewood Avenue. The funeral will take place at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Nancy Case officiating also at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
