

Corey Michael Carter, a lifetime Mandarin resident, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida. Corey was born on December, 17, 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida. He went to high school at Mandarin High. He was employed by Citibank, a job that he valued and enjoyed. Previous employment included positions with Whole Foods and ADT. He enjoyed sports, was active in baseball and tennis as a junior. He also enjoyed a close loving relationship his mom, step-dad, sister, and grandmother who will miss his earthly presence enormously. On the maternal side, Corey is survived by his mother, Traci Thomas: his step-dad, Rick Thomas, his sister, Sienna Thomas; his grandmother, Celia Rehm; his great grandmother, Rosalia Barraza; his Aunt, Sylvia Alonzo; his cousins, Ricco and Jaime Martinez, and other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. On the paternal side, Corey is also survived by his dad, Donnie Carter his grandmother, Patricia Carter; Aunt Sherry Carter Armistead, cousins, Rachel Belew and Rebecca Kirk; and other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
