Cynthia was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and “Gams,” whose courage, strength, and
unwavering love touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Ray Lannom; her parents, Anna Joyce Sexton
and Richard Phillip Chatham Sr.; and her husband and best friend, Ray Omer Lannom.
Cynthia is survived by her loving children, Amy Catherine Lannom Cooke (Warren) and Christopher
Phillip Lannom (Kelly), and will be forever cherished by her fifteen grandchildren: Joshua Daniel Parks,
Seth Samuel Parks, James Leavitt Parks, Charlotte Anna Parks, Kemper Philip Lannom, Kensington
Joyce Lannom, Coby Mills Lannom, Catherine Denise Lannom, Cooper Thomas Lannom, Keegan
Richard Lannom, Karyss Anna Lannom, Camden Andrew Ray Lannom, Kendall Marie Lannom,
Clayton Carver Lannom, and Claire Laurel Lannom.
She is also survived by her brother, Richard Philip Chatham, Jr. (Maureen); her nephews, Richard
Phillip Chatham, III, and Zachary Taylor Chatham; and her sister, Mary Melinda Chatham.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Ray, and their son, Michael Ray, at Oaklawn Cemetery,
4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to
follow at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, where family and friends are invited to celebrate Cynthia’s
remarkable life and legacy.
Her memory will remain a blessing and her love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
