David Chase

David Francis Chase, 64, of Saint Johns, FL, peacefully passed away at his home on December 19th, 2020. He was born October 15th, 1956, in Palmer, MA, son of the late William and Jane Chase. David was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

David was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and strived to live his life in a way pleasing to God. David remained strong in his faith throughout his illness and is now at peace in his heavenly home with the Lord.

David is survived by his wife of 19 years, Bonnie Chase, who he married November 3rd of 2001, his four children, David Chase of Jacksonville, FL, Amanda Murawski and her husband Dan of Edgewater, FL, their two children, David’s grandchildren, Lincoln and Levi, Thomas Van Pelt of Austin, TX, and Cari Phillips and her husband Miles of Green Cove Springs, FL. He is also survived by his first wife, Donna Chase, and his three siblings, William Chase of NY, Nanci Neill of FL and Lillian Hawk of MA.

David lived in Fort Lauderdale for 27 years, where he owned his own hair salon. He continued his cosmetology career when he moved to Jacksonville. David was an avid sports enthusiast and especially loved fishing and golfing. He was a diehard Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his beloved dogs Maypo, Fenway and Kenzie.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29th, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm, at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The service will begin at 1:00pm, followed the interment at the Mandarin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated to pancreatic cancer research at Mayo Clinic. Gifts can be mailed directly to Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN, 55905.

If you wish to designate specifically to Mayo Clinic Florida, you may indicate that on the memo as well.
