David Duane McGill

David Duane McGill, age 61 passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He was born October 13, 1963 in Jacksonville, FL. For much of his career, he worked for his father at McGill's Custom Countertops. Duane was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a passion for baseball and football. He coached baseball and football for many years at Sans Souci Athletic Association, the same association where he played sports. Duane was a graduate of Englewood High School, class of 1981.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents David and Sharon McGill; and his grandparents Richard Smith and Connie Bonds, and Thomas and Mildred Crawford.

Duane is survived by his wife, Michelle; son, Richard McGill (Meagan); daughter, Ashli McGill; son, Dalton McGill (Mackenzie); and son, Cole McGill; grandchildren Jordyn McGill, Reagan McGill, Kennedy McGill, Kassidy McGill, Jahzlyn Mason, and Paisley McGill.

A visitation for David will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A committal service will at Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family requests guests to please dress casual. Jeans for the visitation and services, and the family will also be wearing camouflage on the day of the funeral. Duane would have loved for friends and family to please dress casual for the services as he was not a dress up kind of man.
