

David H. Pope, 80, died surrounded by his family on January 23rd following a lengthy illness. Born in Tennessee and reared in West Virginia, he moved to Jacksonville in 1949. Dave served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return, he went into sales and worked for several companies during his career. During the latter part of his career, Dave worked with Hardage-Giddens Funeral Homes. Dave will always be remembered for his stories.
Dave is survived by his wife, of 59 years Ann,; son, Scott Pope; daughter Holly Pedroni (Gary); Grandchildren David Pope, Tory Carrillo (Cortlan) Payton and Grant Pedroni and a great grandchild Malia Carrillo.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Dave’s life will be held Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 Edgewood Ave. with Rev. Robert Kinley officiating.
