
great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 9, 2011. Dino was born in Mount Vernon New York on February 5,1921, the son of Louis and Anna Palazesi. He spent his childhood in Taunton, Massachusetts, served his country in WWII and the Korean War,attended Harvard University, and became a successful sales and operational manager in the dental supply business for over 40 years. He helped many young dentists successfully set up practice in northern Florida. He lived in Jacksonville for over 50 years and was a founding member of the San Jose Catholic Church and long time member of the Knights of Columbus. His warmth,heart of gold, and positive personality made him loved by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Anna and Louis Palazesi, his brother Leni J. Palazesi, and his first wife, Gladyce Clark Palazesi.
He is survived by his wife, Gene Palazesi; sister, Louise Garland of
Phoenix, Arizona; children, Mark (Iris) Palazesi of Tallahassee
Florida, Margot (Mark) Palazesi-Dietrich of Tallahassee Florida, and Rick C.(Rita) Palazesi of Atlanta, Georgia; step-daughters, Pat Burton of Surprise, Arizona, Betty (Ben) Byrd of Saint Augustine Florida, Jo (Paul) Nowaskey of Jacksonville Florida, and Edie (Rik) Amato of Jacksonville, Florida. Dino loved his many grandchildren Ben and Ilana Palazesi; Ann, Sarah Marie, and Nick Dietrich; Sam, Michael, and Rebecca Palazesi; Jason and Craig Burton; Thea Agee; James and Mike Byrd; Josh and Chase Hester; Ryan Nowasky; Jennifer, Katie, and Erin Amato; and his great-grandchildren Abigail Grace Palazesi, Brennan Agee, Alex and Dani Byrd, Trace Hester, and Lucas Amato.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 14, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church, 3619 Toledo Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32217-3299. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donationscan be made to the San Jose Catholic Church.
