Donald Eugene Kelsey, Jr.

Donald Eugene Kelsey, Jr., longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away October 1, 2012. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, son of Donald E. Kelsey who survives and the late Barbara June (Parmley) Kelsey. He arrived in Jacksonville in 1985 when he was transferred by his company. Finding the area very attractive, he elected to stay and make Jacksonville home.

Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Sleetia, Jeremy (Sharon) Kelsey, Lisa Aflleje, two step-children, Regina Zurcher and Wanda Scarbrough, grandchildren, Hunter Aflleje, Kimberly Kelsey, Cattie Zurcher, Kevin Kelsey, Brock Aflleje, Joshua Zurcher, his father, Donald E. Kelsey, two sisters, Darlene Smith, Trish Trammell, and John Kelsey and many dear friends.

The family will greet friends at visitation on Friday, October 5, 2012 from noon until 1:00 pm. The service will follow at 1:00 pm. Rev. Jack Dinsbeer and Rev. Ray Price will co-officiate.

Memorials in his name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
