
Dorothy June Lee
August 6, 1926 – April 26, 2016
Born Dorothy June Knight on August 6, 1926 but was always known as June. She is survived by her sister, Nina Knight Borgis and Nina’s family. When June and Nina were young girls they danced on roller skates in many performances. In 1948 June married the love of her life, Albert Lee Jr. In 1964 they founded Lee Printing, Inc. Golf was one their hobbies and they were past members of San Jose Country Club. Albert preceded her in death in 2000. June was an avid gardener and always had a bounty of beautiful flowers in her yard. She was a native of Jacksonville and lived many years in Empire Point. Her family loved her deeply and she was affectionately called “Gramms” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Summers always meant swimming and cooking out with her family. Holidays always meant wine, wonderful food, beautifully set tables, lots of laughter & hugs and grandchildren wanting to open at least one present on Christmas Eve.
June is survived by her three sons and their families. Her first son and daughter-in-law, Darral & Sandy Lee, grandson and spouse, Timothy and Christina Adam, Sr., great-grandson, Timothy Adam Jr., great-grandson and spouse, Christopher and Kaytline Randall, great-grandsons, James Smithwick and Christopher Randall, Jr., grandson and spouse, Johnathon and Madeline Randall, great-granddaughters, Avelynn Zimmer and Alicynn Randall, great- grandsons, Alexander and Brandon Adam and James McMichael, her granddaughter, Staci Lee, great-grandsons, Phoenix Haynes and Aidan Granados, her second son and daughter-in-law, Donald & Ana Lee, her grandson and spouse, Chris and Jessica Lee; her great-granddaughters, Savannah and Gabriella Lee, her granddaughter and spouse, Karen and Rebecca Lee-Duffell, and her great-granddaughters, Samantha and Avery Lee-Duffell, her third son and his fiancé, Andy Lee and Wendy Lovett and her grandson, Colton Lee. She is also survived by a very special person to her, Manny Granados.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Oaklawn Cemetery, located at 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207, 904-737-7171. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
