SNIPES – Dorothy E. Snipes, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Carrollton, GA at her home. A native of Scooterville, GA had made her home in Jacksonville for many years before moving to Carrollton. While in Jacksonville she worked as a physician’s assistant for Dr. Welinsky for many years. While she was involved in a variety of activities, above all else, she was dedicated to her Savior, Jesus Christ and her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Snipes in 1975 and a daughter, Charlene Clippinger, in 2005. Her surviving family includes: her sons, Kent Snipes of Jacksonville, Lance (Phyllis) Snipes of Carrollton; a sister, Helen Cason; a brother, Richard King; 8 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. with Rev. Lance Snipes officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday from 3:00 unitil 5:00 PM.
