

He is pre-deceased by his Father (Daniel G Aid) and Mother (Susie S. Aid) and more importantly his wife of 58 years “Betty” (Maxine L. Aid).
He is survived by his three daughters, Susan J Swift; Frieda A Cromley (Larry), and Marguerite A Barr and his five Grandchildren, Jamie Adams (Chandler); Jordan Keller (Jason); Jacob Thayer (Missi); Joanna Thayer (Anthony) and Brittany Barr. Also, three Great-Grand Children, Harlin and Ashten Cope, and Sadie Adams.
Also, pre-deceased are his two Sister-in-Laws Lenawee L. Motes and Frances L. Taylor and Brother-in-Law, Henry B. Taylor.
He is survived by one Brother-in-Law, George E. Motes, Jr. Several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Great-Great Niece and Nephews.

He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy and a 25 year veteran of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department as well as 10 years of service with the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Community Hospice.
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 2nd, 3:30 pm at the Jacksonville Fire Department Union Hall 625 Stockton Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. Union Hall is across the street from the Gate Station on Rosselle Street side.
