

Edward Norman Kee, 83, of Jacksonville, FL passed away comfortably in his sleep, Thursday, February 17th, 2011. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Edward Kee was the loving husband of the late Helen Bell Kee. Ed was a graduate of Pensacola High School, class of 1946. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served overseas in occupied Japan with the Battery A 271st Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Cav. His post military life was spent in the transportation and distribution business with Florida-Texas Freight. In 1976 he started Kee Transportation in Jacksonville. In 1985 he sold his company and retired. Never staying idle, Ed and his wife Helen travelled the southeast craft show circuit with his carpentry and her shell decorated goods. Ed was a strong supporter of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and long time Secretary of the Jacksonville Police Council. The Police Council assisted the community with reward funds for unsolved crimes and by supporting the mission of Law Enforcement. Ed is survived by his sister Frances Morgan, daughter, Shirley 'Allison' Forester, son, E. Michael Kee, six grandchildren, Frank Scott, Michael Kee, Brian Kee, Jamie Rohrbaugh, Ryan Rohrbaugh, Mallory Kee and seven great grand children. Donations in his honor can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org . Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm on Monday, February 21, 2011 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Mandarin Cemetery, located on Mandarin Road in Jacksonville FL.
