Before working at Clara White, Ed Lee worked in the City's Youth Build Program and The Housing Partnership before their Federal Funding was discontinued. Again, he found fulfillment in helping other people. Throughout the City his craftsmanship can be found in the hundreds of wheelchair ramps that he designed and built for those in need. Ed Lee partnered with Habijax of Jacksonville in much of their work throughout the City. His willingness and desire to be of service was evident in the manner in which he conducted his life. Ed Lee was born December 29, 1960 in Kinston, N. C. and lived in New Bern, N. C. until moving to Morehead City, N. C in the 1970's, and attended West Carteret High School.
