Eleanor Kathleen "Kathy" Zink Garrison "Red"

GARRISON-Eleanor Kathleen (“Kathy”) Zink Garrison, (“Red”), 66, graduated to Heaven after a long and hard battle with cancer on Thursday, July 9th. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Kathy attended North Shore Elementary, Kirby-Smith Junior High and graduated in 1966 from Andrew Jackson Senior High. She retired from Summit Contractors in January 2014 after 18 years as a multi-family estimator. Summit was like her 2nd family. They stood by her and they were very good to her during her on and off battles with cancer. Kathy loved boating, (and was quite an excellent boat captain), fishing, working in her yard and plants and spending time with her wonderful family whom she was very proud of. She was pre-deceased by her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Karl G. ZinkSurvivors are her three amazing children, Michael C. Chapman (Joanne), Tammy Garrison Smith (Jerry), Gregory A. Garrison (Carol); Sister, Karlene Zink; Brother, Karl “Buster” Zink; Nephew, Bobby Zink (Tammy) and 6 wonderful Grandchildren, Erica, Whitney, Ciara, Brandon, Zac and Skyler; 1 precious great grandchild, Kynleigh; Miss Lani her sweet cat; her Mother-in-Love, Ruby Chapman and her dearest friend of 50 years Connie Wall Jones. Visitation for family and friends will be 1 hour before the service. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13 at Franklin Street Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Gore officiating with burial services following at Evergreen Cemetery.
