Beth was born on May 29, 1966, in Peoria, Illinois to Mary and Ross Reardon. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse and Ross worked as Executive Director of the Illinois Nursing Home Association. Beth was joined in life three years later by her younger brother, Paul Reardon.
Beth worked hard to learn how to ride a bike. She was an expert roller skater. She enjoyed cross-stitch and needlepoint and was skilled in those arts.
In high school, Beth volunteered at a nursing home and was a bright light to the residents, learning everyone’s names and room numbers. Beth worked as a hostess at Ryan’s and Hometown Buffet for over twenty years in Champaign, Illinois, where she had many loyal customers.
In 2019 Beth moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she began attending North Florida School of Special Education and was involved in making Barkin’ Biscuits. She attended their annual proms and dances. She also enjoyed attending Night to Shine each year. Beth could start a conversation with anyone and always had a warm smile and welcoming hug to share with others. She made many friends at NFSSE.
Beth was a beloved and accepted member at Arlington United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
Family was very important to Beth, and she made sure to know when the next get together was planned before leaving for home.
Her mother, Mary, preceded her in death. Beth is survived by her father, Ross, her brother, Paul Reardon, and his wife Melissa, her niece, Adea, and her niece’s husband, Patrick McDonough, and her nephew Brandon Reardon. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
