

Elizabeth Liddy A. Utley, 84, passed away Thursday morning, September 26, 2013 at her home in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Flora Elizabeth Moore Flowers and Joe James Flowers, she lived in Jacksonville, Florida for the last 45 years. Liddy Utley was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, as well as a military spouse of a 32-year Naval Hospital Corpsman. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church; TOPS # FL 64, Jacksonville; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve, Branch # 91. She was also a Red Cross volunteer of twenty-five years and more than 3,500 hours at the Jacksonville Naval Hospital and the Jacksonville Naval Hospital Satellite Pharmacy. Liddy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Utley, Jr.; and her brothers, Robert (Bob) and Charles (Charley) Flowers. Survivors include two children, Thomas J. Utley, III (Misty Ransom - fiance') and Lydia A. Windham (Mark); three grandsons, Kenneth, Robert, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Betty Fiske; two grandpuppies; and many other family and friends. The family of Liddy Utley would like to acknowledge the wonderful care that was provided by the doctors, nurses, aides, chaplain and the entire staff of Community Hospice, in Jacksonville, Florida The Rev. Dr. James Black will conduct Memorial Services in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6317 103rd Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32210 at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 7th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association , 5851 Saint Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
