

Elizabeth Saucier 94 of Jacksonville, Florida died February 28, 2013. She was born March 22, 1918 in Ganna Hungary to the late Johann and Katarina Nakovics. She married Aldore Saucier in 1958. She was predeceased by her Husband, Aldore, and by her Father, Mother and all but one Brother, Joseph Nakovics. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Linda (Bill) of Houston, TX and Kathie (Jerry) of Bluffton, South Carolina and her son, Joseph D. Saucier of Jacksonville, Florida; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and baby Harrison, due this month along with several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth, Betty to all her friends, was a caring and loving Mother who loved to cook, welcomed all who came to her door, loved reading, sewing and sharing a good story of her childhood. She was a military wife, a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She was always ready, able and willing to assist with the church when they needed her help or to cook a meal. While her children were growing up, she car-pooled us to all of our practices and games and continued to care for her Grandchildren until just a few years ago. The family wishes to express with deep appreciation the dedication, compassion and medical care she received while in Community Hospice and the loving care she received from her dear friend, Deborah Austin while in our absence. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.Visitation with the family will be Monday March 4th, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel 729 S. Edgewood Ave. Jacksonville, FL. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park.
