

Emil E. Moccia, 95, a native of Jacksonville, passed away March 2, 2010. Born in Jacksonville to Peter and Assunta Moccia, Emil was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
A member of Assumption Catholic Church, Emil owned and operated Acme Fixture Company. In his spare time he fished, golfed, bowled, and ballroom danced.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ulee O. Moccia, he is survived by his sons, Earl C. Moccia, David M. Moccia (Virginia) & Wayne A. Moccia, MD (Mary); daughter, Anne M. Packham (Buddy); grandchildren, Jennifer Andreozzi, Danielle Forlaw (Benjamin), Holly Amodio (Dr. Carl), Heather Millwood (Trey), Heidi Goss (Kevin), Mitchell Moccia and Jason Moccia (Michelle); great grandchildren, Anthony Andreozzi, Thomas Amodio, Sophia Moccia, Gabriella Moccia and Riley Forlaw; companion, Harriet Whitlow; numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Fred Parke officiating. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery will follow. Family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 PM Friday (today) at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue with a vigil service starting at 7 PM.
