I miss you terribly. Just the realization that you and mom are gone breaks my heart. I know it's a selfish thought  on my part to express this as you & mom ars healthy, happy & so blessed and in a much better place. I'm sure that the sweet, sweet loving arms of our Lord have embraced you & I can only imagine the feeling of peace & Our Lords most important wish, love. I love you dad. i WILL see you again. Sometimes in church while looking at the Stations of the Cross that you made, I get butterflies in my stomach & feel the presence of the Lord. I'm sure you received some credit for that, lol. Oh dad. Where to begin. You are the best father God put on this earth. I miss you more than imaginable. It seems like I haven't seen you in years. Today, a year ago, we all prayed for you for Gods will to be done. I'll drink 'em till they're gone! You would never believe, probate is STILL NOT OVER. But God willing, the Liffers will continue to live in your and mom's home. Tell mom I love her too. This has been a very different Christmas/New Year. With you and mom gone, I found myself kinda stumbling around like on autopilot a little of the time. The rest of the time, was amazing. Willa opening her presents, SO excited. Sara holding up the ENTIRE process - she was having as much fun as Willa was. She put up the Christmas balls this year & they did NOT go unnoticed! People stopped in their cars to comment how wonderful it was to see them again, which really made the effort substantially fulfilling too her. All in all I think we here at home did you proud. I know you wouldn't have wanted us moping around, not having the laughs & love that we did. I missed you dad. I miss you every day. Kiss mom for me. xxxxrob

Hey dad. I was sitting here about to read the Bible verse for tomorrow and thinking about you. There have been so many times I've seen something on TV or at home and thought, Dad would love this. Ernie & I had a conversation recently about you & how much you would have enjoyed a particular weekend. Your always on our minds. Dad, I miss our conversations on Sunday's after the Jags and Dolphins games, I miss going with you to watch trains go by.  When we were kids and we had pushed you to the limit, you didn't respond with anger but with kindness.  I hope as a dad I was as good a dad as you were.  Give mom a hug for me.

Very sad to hear this from back home. The Liffers' house was a second home for me in the neighborhood and "Big Ern" was a great guy who put up with our foolishness with humor and kindness. Very sorry that I can't be there for the mass, but my prayers are with Ernie and his sisters.

Sarah, I only got to meet him once and his spunky zest for life I will always remember. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

We have missed seeing him around the VFW. He was a nice guy and an honorable veteran. It was a priveledge to have known him.

I have very found memories of Mr. Liffers.  Robin and I were friends when we were younger and I enjoyed the "Giant" of a man who was her father.  He reminded me of John Wayne.  He and Mrs. Liffers were the "cool" parents.  I loved his laugh and his firm, but gentle, ways.  My thoughts are with my long-time-ago friend and her siblings.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Liffers' passing. I spent alot of time back in my teen's and early 20's in his home as a friend of "Little E" and he and Mrs. Liffers were always so gracious and so much fun. I am praying for your family.
