

Frank Joseph Holas, died October 1, 2012. He was born November 12, 1932 in Cleveland Ohio and attended Cleveland Height High School graduating in 1950. He then attended University of Toledo and graduated in 1956 with a Chemical Engineering Degree, joined the United States Army in 1954 commissioned as a Lieutenant. In June 1955, Frank married the love of his life Corleene. They were married 49 years before she passed away. Frank was a Professional Engineer and General Contractor in several states. He worked for many engineering companies during his career with the most memorable times at Olin Corporation in Tallahassee, Florida and Tompkins-Beckwith, Inc. in Jacksonville Florida. In the 1980s Frank established his own company Frank Holas and Associates and operated it until this year. Frank was a loving father to his four children and enjoyed boating, skiing and lived with the philosophy that “if you are not having fun, then you’re doing something wrong.” His eldest son Michael Holas and his daughter Patricia VaVerka survive Frank. Their families all knew and loved Frank and will deeply miss him as well as many of the friends he has made throughout his life. We are so glad your life was full of joy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 2p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church on the corner of Loretto and St. Augustine road in Mandarin.
