BICKERSTAFF - Fred Allen Bickerstaff, 70, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Born in Eustis, FL, Fred spent much of his life travelling as part of his 22 years in the United States Marine Corps. After his retirement from the Marine Corps, Fred worked as an automotive mechanic and made his home in Middleburg where he was active in the VFW Post, #8255. He was predeceased by his wife, Vicky in 1997. His surviving family includes: a daughter, Carry Ann Klein; a son, Roger Lee Green; 2 sisters, Helen Waters and Sharee Lynn Bell and 4 grandchildren. A graveside funeral service, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at 11:30AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In addition to the graveside service, a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Middleburg VFW Post # 8255, 2296 Aster Ave., Middleburg.
